Station 4 - Judy Dixon Memorial Fire Station

Station Four (4) was planned for several years before being built. Initially the station was operated out of a donated building while property for the permanent station could be purchased. During this time another department in Blount County, Tennessee purchased a building and began operating in the same general area. The State of Tennessee reviewed the locations of the department and established a new boundary between the departments. Once the boundary was established, Seymour moved forward with the new station. A past member and business owner and his family were in the process of donating a piece of property for the new station. The mother became ill with cancer and passed away which delayed the transaction. This family has been an important part of our community and two sons have been members of the fire department. Station 4 is dedicated to the memory of Judy Dixon, wife and mother. The Dixon family donated 1 acre of land for this station in Blount County. It currently houses the following equipment:

  • Engine 514 Commercial International 500 gallon 750 gpm Class A engine
  • Tanker 511 Commercial Ford 1250 gallon 250 gpm Tanker with dump tank
  • Support 502 4x4 Chevy Suburban EMS First Responder Vehicle
