PUBLIC EDUCATION PROGRAMS

The Seymour Volunteer Fire Department offers a variety of programs to the public. While there are many that are offered, the current ones available are listed below:

SCHOOL PROGRAMS

The history of the Seymour Volunteer Fire Departments school program dates back to the beginning of the fire department. Our volunteers have been going in the Seymour schools and teaching fire safety to the kids. The program has evolved a lot over the years. The Seymour Volunteer Fire Department currently has a program that reaches kindergartners and second grade students in Seymour Primary School and Boyd’s Creek Elementary School. This program reaches over 450 students a year.
